You may opt out of receiving promotional communications from us as follows:
Email: Each promotional email we send contains an "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the message. Clicking this link will remove you from the applicable mailing list. Please allow up to ten (10) business days for your request to be processed. Note that even after opting out of promotional emails, we may continue to send you transactional and service-related communications (e.g., appointment confirmations, vaccination reminders, billing notifications, and policy updates), which are not considered promotional in nature.
SMS/Text Messages: You may opt out of promotional text messages at any time by replying "STOP" to any promotional message you receive from us. Upon receipt of your STOP request, we will confirm your opt-out and cease sending promotional text messages to that number. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Opting out of SMS promotions does not affect transactional or service-related messages, including but not limited to appointment reminders, prescription notifications, and emergency health alerts for your pet(s), which you will continue to receive unless you specifically request otherwise by contacting us directly. By providing your mobile phone number to us, you expressly consent to receive autodialed or prerecorded marketing calls and text messages in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). Your consent is not a condition of purchase.
Please note that opting out of promotional communications does not opt you out of the sale or sharing of your personal information as described in Section 5 of this Policy. To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, please refer to Section 6 (Your California Privacy Rights).
3.3.2 SMS / Text Messaging Program ("Vaccine Vets Text Alerts")
When you opt in to Vaccine Vets Text Alerts (by submitting your mobile number in the "Text me this weekend's parks" form on our website, by checking the SMS box at check-in, or by texting a keyword such as PARKS or VACUNAS to (818) 423-4780), we will send you recurring automated text messages that may include: this weekend's clinic locations and hours, reminders before we return to a park you have visited, notices that a visit is complete with a link to your pet's vaccination certificate, and queue or next-in-line notices during a visit. Message frequency is about 1 marketing message per week and no more than 6 per month; transactional notices vary with your visits. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of any purchase.
You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will send one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed and will not send further marketing texts to that number. Reply HELP to any message for help, or contact us at hello@vaccinevets.com or (818) 423-4780. Full program terms are on our SMS Terms & Conditions page.
We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of personal information described in this Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, except for service providers acting on our behalf solely to deliver our messages (for example, our messaging platform provider), who may not use it for their own purposes.

We do not ask you to waive that right.
4. DISCLOSURE AND SHARING OF INFORMATION

We may sell or share this information with advertising networks, data analytics providers, data brokers, marketing partners, and other third parties for targeted advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, analytics, and other commercial purposes.
6. YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS
If you are a California resident, you have certain rights under the CCPA/CPRA, subject to the limitations and exceptions provided by law:
Right to Know: You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the categories of sources, the business or commercial purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose information. We will respond within 45 days, which may be extended by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary.
Right to Delete: You may request deletion of personal information we have collected. This right is subject to numerous exceptions, including where retention is necessary to complete a transaction, comply with legal obligations, detect security incidents, exercise free speech, conduct research, enable internal uses reasonably aligned with consumer expectations, or comply with a legal obligation. We reserve the right to apply any and all applicable exceptions.
Right to Correct: You may request correction of inaccurate personal information. We may decline correction requests where we determine the information is accurate or where correction is not feasible.
Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information at any time — with no account required — using our Your Privacy Choices page, or by contacting us using the information below. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out request.
Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Information: You may request that we limit our use of sensitive personal information to purposes permitted by the CCPA/CPRA. However, we use sensitive information only for purposes authorized by law and do not use it beyond what is necessary for the disclosed purposes.
Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. However, if you exercise certain rights such as deletion or opt-out, we may not be able to provide the same level of service, and pricing or service levels may differ where permitted by law.
6.1 Verification and Processing of Requests
To exercise any of these rights, you must submit a verifiable consumer request. We may require you to provide sufficient information to verify your identity, which may include providing government-issued identification, answering security questions, or other verification methods we deem appropriate in our sole discretion. We reserve the right to deny requests that we cannot verify or that fall within applicable exceptions. Authorized agents must provide a signed written authorization and we may require direct verification from the consumer.
We are not required to respond to requests more than twice in a 12-month period. We may charge a reasonable fee for manifestly unfounded or excessive requests, or decline to act on such requests, as permitted by law.
7. DATA RETENTION
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, which may extend significantly beyond the end of your relationship with us. Specific retention periods are determined based on:
- The nature of the information and the purposes for which it was collected
- Legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements, including statute of limitations periods
- Ongoing business needs including audit, compliance, and dispute resolution
- The cost and burden of deletion relative to the risks of continued retention
- Research, analytics, and historical recordkeeping purposes
In general, we retain most personal information for a minimum of seven (7) years from the date of last interaction, and may retain certain information indefinitely where permitted by law. Pet medical records may be retained permanently. De-identified and aggregated data is retained without limitation.
8. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
We use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, SDKs, and similar technologies extensively across our Services. By using our Services, you consent to our use of these technologies. We may use:
- Strictly necessary cookies required for website functionality
- Performance and analytics cookies to measure and improve our Services
- Functional cookies to remember your preferences and settings
- Targeting and advertising cookies to deliver relevant advertisements
- Third-party cookies from our advertising and analytics partners
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as required by California law. However, we do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals as there is no industry-standard protocol for such signals.
9. DATA SECURITY
We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect personal information. However, NO METHOD OF TRANSMISSION OVER THE INTERNET OR ELECTRONIC STORAGE IS 100% SECURE. We cannot and do not guarantee the absolute security of your information. You acknowledge that you provide personal information at your own risk. We shall not be liable for any unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of personal information except to the minimum extent required by applicable law.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY SECURITY BREACH, DATA LOSS, OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete such information. However, information provided about minors by their parents or guardians in connection with pet ownership or veterinary services will be processed in accordance with this Policy.
11. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites, applications, and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third parties. Your interaction with third-party services is governed solely by their respective privacy policies and terms. We encourage you to review those policies, but we disclaim all liability for third-party practices.
12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We reserve the right to modify, amend, or update this Policy at any time and for any reason, in our sole discretion, without prior notice to you. Changes become effective immediately upon posting to our website or Services. YOUR CONTINUED USE OF OUR SERVICES AFTER ANY CHANGES CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE REVISED POLICY. It is your sole responsibility to review this Policy periodically. We may, but are not obligated to, notify you of material changes via email or other means.
13. DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Policy or our privacy practices may be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. Nothing in this section limits your ability to exercise your rights under the CCPA/CPRA, to bring a claim in small claims court, or to file a complaint with the California Attorney General or California Privacy Protection Agency, and nothing here waives any right that California law makes non-waivable.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THIS POLICY OR YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00).
Any claims must be brought within one (1) year of the date the cause of action arose, regardless of any statute of limitations to the contrary. Claims not brought within this period are permanently barred.
14. ADDITIONAL CALIFORNIA DISCLOSURES
14.1 Financial Incentive Programs
We may offer financial incentives (e.g., discounts, loyalty rewards, promotional offers) to consumers who provide certain personal information. Participation in these programs is voluntary, and you may opt out at any time. The value of the financial incentive is reasonably related to the value of the personal information provided, as determined by us based on our reasonable assessment of the data's value to our business.
14.2 Shine the Light
Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, California residents may request information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, contact us using the information below. We may respond by providing a list of disclosures or by offering you a cost-free means to opt out of such disclosures.
14.3 Metrics
As required by the CCPA, we will compile and disclose annually the number of requests to know, delete, and opt out received, complied with, and denied in the preceding calendar year. These metrics will be posted on our website.
